At Dancexcel, we focus upon proper placement into classes according to both age and skill level. We place a strong emphasis on proper technical training and ballet class, which allows dancers to excel further and faster in their other selected classes and styles. We require respect, poise, and discipline from our students and expect regular class attendance. We are determined to provide an environment in which every dancer can thrive and become their personal best. | Gina Koch created Dancexcel with the vision of giving young dancers the opportunity to fall in love with dance just as she did as a little girl. She has over 18 years of dance experience with training in ballet, pointe, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, tap, modern and theater. She has been teaching dance for over 11 years and is a former kindergarten teacher as well. She performed as a professional member of the Cleveland Cavalier Girls Dance Team and was invited to dance aboard Holland America Cruise Lines. She was also a member of the Cleveland Barron’s Dance Team. Gina has received numerous awards for her choreography, dance performances, technique and teaching abilities. She received a scholarship to train in New York City at the Broadway Dance Center at the age of 16. Gina graduated Magna Cum Laude from Baldwin Wallace College in 2004 with Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. She served as a kindergarten teacher at Kidder Elementary in Brunswick from 2004-2008 and was named Teacher of the Year for the 2007-2008 school year. |

| Vicky Tyjewski is the Assistant Director of Dancexcel and brings an extensive background in dance training and teaching to the studio. She began her dance training at the age of 4 and was asked to student teach at the young age of 12. Miss Vicky was invited to train with the renowned Dee Hillier at the age of 15, where she stayed for many years and excelled in all areas of dance. Miss Vicky began teaching dance in 1993 and taught at several local studios before joining Dancexcel. Miss Vicky loves to share her passion for dance with students of all ages and is dedicated to fostering the self-esteem of each individual child. She creates engaging, meaningful and imaginative lesson plans for her creative movement classes and challenges her older students with innovative choreography. |

| Mandee Marini joins the Dancexcel Staff with 24 years of dance training and experience, in all forms of dance. She has been teaching in the Cleveland area for the past 11 years and is currently working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. In addition, she has ample training and experience in childcare.
Mandee has coached several local dance and cheerleading teams as well as leading several cheerleading and dance camps for local students. Her choreography is in high demand for many studios in the Cleveland area and Dancexcel is thrilled to welcome her to our staff!

| Stephanie Konkoly began her dance training at the age of 4. She has over 17 years of dance training and experience. She has choreographed for multiple dance and cheer clinics and has won numerous awards for her performances as a cheerleader and dancer. Miss Stephanie also has extensive training in tumbling and acro skills. She is experienced in teaching young children creative movement, dance and cheer. Miss Stephanie is currently taking classes at Tri-C and plans to obtain a degree in Radiography. Miss Stephanie was a teacher at Dancexcel during the 2007-2008 dance season and we are thrilled to have her back with us! |

| Kristin Galuszka has been an instructor at Dancexcel since its opening in 2007. Miss Kristin has an extensive background in all styles of dance and brings with her 24 years of dance training and experience. She graduated from Ashland University, where she was the captain of the Ashland University Dance Team. Miss Kristin has a professional background in the dance world and has performed on local professional teams like the Cleveland Barron’s Dance Team. Her professional background helps her bring her students a fun, engaging and throrough dance experience. |

| Julie Miller joins Dancexcel with an extensive background in ballet and modern dance. She has been teaching dance for the past eight years in the Cleveland area. Miss Julie graduated from Akron University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2005 where she was a member of the Akron University Dance Company. She has performed in University of Akron’s Swan Lake and Les Syllphides. She has also performed in the Cleveland Orchestra’s production of Cleopatra. Miss Julie challenges each of her students and pushes them to grow and become their personal best. She is the Lead Ballet and Modern Instructor at Dancexcel and we are thrilled to have her back for another dance season. |

| Jenny Miller has been a teacher with Dancexcel since its opening in 2007 and brings with her a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and many years experience in dance instruction. She has 23 years of dance training in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, theater, lyrical, pointe, and modern. Miss Jenny graduated from Baldwin Wallace College in 2003, where she performed on the Baldwin Wallace Dance Team, danced in the Baldwin Wallace Dance Concerts each year, and was featured on Kicking It With Kenny as a Baldwin Wallace dancer. Miss Jenny is currently a second grade teacher at Kidder Elementary in Brunswick, where she coaches the Kidder Performance Dance Team. |

Audrey Lauren Sycz has been performing professionally as an accomplished dancer ever since 2004. She toured and traveled the world while performing for thousands of people aboard Holland America Cruise Lines. Additionally, she performed as a magician assistant for DV8 Reality Magic and Master Illusionist James Cielen. This included all contortions, illusions and showcasing her aerial training on the silks and Spanish web.
Audrey Lauren began dancing at the young age of 4 and has studied and trained with some of the most prestigious teachers around Cleveland including Dee Hillier and Karen Colabianchi. She attended the University of Akron for two years to study ballet. In 2003 she received a scholarship to the EDGE Studio in Los Angeles, California, and was awarded the Well Rounded Dancer of the Year at Urban Jamm Dance Convention. Audrey trained out in Broadway Dance Center in New York City and continued to educate herself twice a year at the EDGE.
Audrey Lauren’s extensive teaching and choreography repertoire began at the age of 15. She has taught master classes all over the Cleveland Area and around the world aboard cruise ships. Her history and experience with Yoga, Budokon, Kempo Karate, Cheerleading and Strength & Conditioning have facilitated her to create a physically fundamentally thorough warm-up and class. Fittingly, her choreography has developed into an innovative, ground-breaking, ingenious art and style of its own. She continues to win awards for her choreography, which began in 1995. Admirably, she is honored to have been Featured Guest Choreographer in the Uptempo Dance Showcase in 2007.
Audrey is ecstatic and anxious to work with everyone at Dancexcel and delighted to help students improve and grow!

| Kristen Nehrenz began dancing at the age of 2 and has an extensive background in various styles of dance including ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, and modern. Miss Kristen performed in many local shows and continued her love of dance at The University of Akron where she continued to train and perform. She graduated from The University of Akron with a degree in Marketing Management and has continued to keep a passion for dance and the arts. Most recently, Miss Kristen has become involved with Pilates and yoga training. Miss Kristen is excited and eager to work with the students and instructors at Dancexcel.

| Maple Walker is a 2007 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a major in Telecommunications and a minor in Dance Performance. While a student there, Miss Maple was also a member of the BGSU Dance Team. She has been dancing for 10 years with training in jazz, hip-hop, modern, and ballet. Miss Maple further pursued her dance career professionally in 2008 when she became a Cavalier Girl for the 2008-2009 basketball season. She has received several awards for her choreography and performances. Maple is thrilled to be a part of Dancexcel and to share her dance training and knowledge with others!

| Sarah Virant began studying dance at the age of three. She has many years of training in jazz, ballet, lyrical, modern, and hip hop. Miss Sarah graduated from Ohio University in 2005 where she studied with the Putnam School of Dance and also received a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. She has been teaching dance in the Cleveland area for several years and has recently begun coaching cheerleading as well. Sarah has worked as a third grade teacher in North Carolina and more recently as a preschool teacher in the area. She is very excited to start working with Dancexcel and to share her passion for dance.

| Allison Sturik began dancing at the age of three and has had training in jazz, ballet, lyrical, pointe, and tap. She has both competition and teaching experience in the field of dance. Miss Allison is a 2008 graduate of Mercyhurst College with her bachelor's degree in Spanish Education, and is very excited to join the Dancexcel staff.
